Practical Checklists

Checklist for packing your hospital bag

Getting ready for birth means more than just counting down the weeks — it also helps to be practically prepared. Packing your hospital bag in advance ensures that when the time comes, you can leave home calmly and confidently, knowing everything you need is ready to go. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth or simply want to be prepared “just in case,” this checklist helps you pack smart — not too much, not too little.

👜 What to Pack in Your Hospital Bag

For you, your baby, and your partner – so you can head to the hospital feeling calm and well-prepared.

💡 Tip: Pack your bag around week 36 — better too early than too late! Place a small note on top with last-minute items to grab before you leave (like your phone, charger, or house keys).

🎒 Bag for your older child(ren)

Will your other child(ren) be staying elsewhere during the birth? Then prepare a small bag for them too and add a note with items to pack last-minute (like a pacifier, favorite stuffed animal, etc.).
